Who we are

Yard Work Math (yardworkmath.com) is operated by Brytin Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 14806911, registered office 5 Cleveland Place West, Bath, BA1 5DG, United Kingdom ("we", "us"). We are the controller of personal data processed through this site, and we are registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) under registration number ZC256170. The calculators

Calculators run entirely in your browser. The numbers you type are not sent to us or stored on our servers. If you useCopy link, your inputs are placed in the web address so that anyone you share it with sees the same result.

Your light/dark theme choice is saved in your browser's local storage on your device. It is not sent to us and you can clear it at any time in your browser settings.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

This site is funded by advertising served by Google AdSense. Where ads are shown:

Google and its partners may process data such as your IP address, device and browser information, approximate location and the pages you visit, as independent controllers under their own privacy policies.

Consent (EEA, UK and Switzerland)

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we ask for your consent before personalised ads and related cookies are used. The consent message is provided by Google, a Google-certified consent management platform (CMP). You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using thePrivacy choices link in the footer. If you refuse, you may still see non-personalised or limited ads, which use cookies only where the law allows.

US state privacy rights

If you live in a US state with a consumer privacy law (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas and Oregon, and other states with similar laws), you may have the right to know what personal information is processed about you, to delete it, and to opt out of targeted advertising or the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We don't sell personal information for money. Ad cookies used by Google and its partners may count as "sharing" under some of these laws: you can opt out with thePrivacy choices link where it's shown, in Google's Ads Settings, or by emailing us.

Analytics

We do not currently use analytics tools on this site. If we add them, this section will say which ones and how they work.

Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data (such as IP addresses) to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

If you email us

If you contact us by email we use your address and message only to reply, and keep them for 12 months after our last exchange, unless we need them longer to deal with a legal claim. Emails to hello@yardworkmath.com are forwarded by Cloudflare Email Routing to our email provider. We do not add you to any mailing list.

Legal bases

  • Consent: for personalised advertising cookies and similar technologies where the law requires it.
  • Legitimate interests: to run, secure and fund this free website (hosting, security, aggregate analytics, and non-personalised ads where permitted), and to reply to messages you send us.

International transfers

Google and Cloudflare may process data outside the UK and EEA, including in the United States. Where they do, the transfer relies on safeguards recognised by UK and EU law, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and its UK Extension, or standard contractual clauses with the UK International Data Transfer Addendum. Their privacy policies describe the safeguards they use.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, to data portability and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, email hello@yardworkmath.com. You can also complain to your data protection authority. In the UK this is the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Children

This site is for adults planning home and garden projects. It is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
